CASH Investment
A cash investment may be made either at EMIC's
office or by mail. You must complete the
Subscription Form included
with the Offering Memorandum and forward with your certified
cheque or bank draft payable to Michael Woods "In
Trust" to our office at unit 203,
120 Traders Boulevard E., Mississauga, Ontario, L4Z
2H7. Mr. Woods is a solicitor in good standing
in Ontario and as such all funds received are
insured under the Law Society of Upper Canada's
Indemnity Fund.
RRSP and RRIF Investment
An investment in EMIC may be made through your
self-directed RRSP or RRIF account. The process is
very simple.
Here is how it works:
- If the investment is an original
investment that you wish to contribute to your
RRSP or RRIF account in the "current" taxation
year, the easiest way is to make the
contribution directly to EMIC by way of cash or
cheque at EMIC's office, and direct EMIC to
register the investment certificate in the name
of your RRSP/RRIF Trustee. EMIC will require
your plan number and name and address of your
Trustee, and will then forward the investment
certificate to your Trustee, where it will be
placed in your RRSP or RRIF account.
- To invest funds already in your RRSP or
RRIF account, the appropriate amount of your
investment(s) will have to be converted to cash
(unless there are sufficient funds already in
your RRSP or RRIF cash account), and then
invested in EMIC.
- In any case, you must have a
Self-Directed RRSP or RRIF. If your RRSP
or RRIF is not self-directed, the process
involves instructing your Trustee to create a
self-directed plan for you. You are now ready to
make a EMIC investment.
If you have any questions on this process, please
do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email.
